Two schools will close
Fate of Rose Seaton and Fort Erie decided
Sarah Ferguson The Times The fate of two elementary schools in Fort Erie has been decided. District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) trustees have considered a recommendation from senior administrators and a volunteer accommodation review committee (ARC) to close both Fort Erie Elementary and Rose Seaton as of Aug. 31, 2013. Under the plan approved by the DSBN trustees this past week, students who currently attend Fort Erie Elementary, who live south of the Queen Elizabeth Way, will attend Garrison Road Public School, says Stephen Passero, ARC member and Ward 1 Councillor. All other students will be attending General Vanier Public School in September 2013, Passero adds. See Page 2
